The annual assessment to property owners covers the period July 1 through June 30, and is payable by June 30. The assessment is $200 per lot owned. When all owners pay timely, it raises $29,200 each year that primarily pays for the maintenance of roads. During the fiscal years 2007-2008, maintenance was deferred and dues were reserved to pay for the re-construction of the front entrance as Pima County realigned and widened Craycroft Road. Routine scheduled maintenance of the roads in La Buena Vida Estates resumes in 2009.
Special assessments must be approved by a vote of the members under provisions outlined in the CRRs.
